TS-SOCKET Baseboard for TS-Macrocontrollers

The TS-8200 is a TS-SOCKET baseboard that provides a development platform for Technologic Systems Macrocontrollers. This boards accepts any TS-4xxx Macrocontroller such as the TS-4500 or TS-4200. It interfaces to the Macrocontroller via two TS-SOCKET standard 100-pin connectors and brings out the various ports to industry standard connectors. An inexpensive plastic enclosure is optionally available.

Hardware Description

The TS-8200 provides industry standard connectors for the various ports and features on any of the TS macrocontroller products like the TS-4500, TS-4200, etc. It provides transceivers for the RS-232 ports, the CAN port, and the RS-485 port. These are brought out to a DB9 male connector. It also has the ethernet "magnetics" and the ethernet RJ-45 connector and LEDs. Connectors for the USB ports are also available. The TS-8200 can be powered by either an unregulated 5V-12V power source through a 2.1 mm barrel type connector or by the USB device port with regulated 5V from a PC.

The TS-8200 has these ports available:

• 1 Ethernet port
• 1 USB device port
• 1 Host USB port (second Host USB via header)
• 1 DB9 with 2 RS-232 ports, 1 RS-485 port, 1 CAN Bus
• A Multipurpose Push Button Switch (Reset or Run Script)

Additional features include the following:

• Jumper for selecting Boot method
• Battery Backup for Real Time Clock
• Two LEDs
