The TS-WIFIBOX-2 Application Kit includes a complete solution for 802.11g WiFi applications. The one-piece setup includes a TS-7553 250Mhz ARM9 CPU, an inexpensive plastic enclosure, and an internal 802.11g WiFi USB Adapter. In addition, Linux drivers and software packages are installed to provide an out-of-the-box WiFi solution.

Hardware Description

The TS-WIFIBOX-2 product is a small embedded computer box with extra accessories and pre-configured software packages. It is designed to provide extreme performance for applications which demand high reliability, fast bootup/startup, and WiFi connectivity at low cost and low power (about 3.2 Watts), such as a gateway or firewall, protocol converter, Ethernet to WiFi bridge, web server, WiFi audio, etc.

TS-WIFIBOX-2 measures 139.88mm (5.507 in.) W x 102.02mm (4.016 in.) D x 35.06mm (1.380 in.) H. The end-plate brings out 1 10/100 Ethernet port, 1 USB Host port, 1 USB Device port, 2 user controlled red and green LEDs, multipurpose reset/script button, power input and COM port. The power source is either 5-12V DC through a commercial-grade barrel connector on the front of the unit, or USB cable via USB Device port. The integrated 802.11g WiFi USB adapter makes use of one USB channel and provides reliable high-speed wireless connectivity. There is one microSD card socket available inside, which provides reliable and high capacity (SDHC) storage.
