Technologic Systems has never discontinued a product. You can count on long term availability when you include our SBC's and peripherals in your design.
Although we encourage our customers to upgrade their platforms, providing support and further system migration assistance, we still ship our legacy products for customers that designed their systems around these products.

TS-2000 Series - Legacy Products
 |
The TS-2000 series of single board computers provide a rugged, reliable embedded PC. Powered by a 25MHz Intel 386EX, these SBCs have been up and running since 1997. The 2000 series are compact, full-featured PC compatible Single Board Computers based on the 386EX processor. If you are coming up from the 8-bit microcontroller world, you will find that this
product provides much more performance and much quicker development since you can now use
standard PC development tools such as Turbo C or Quick Basic. If you have done work in the PC
world in the past, you will find you can now build applications for a very small target that does not
require a keyboard, video, floppy disks, or hard drives.
The PC/104 Expansion Bus allows the addition of many standard features with commercial off the shelf peripherals.
While we do not recommend the TS-2000 series for new projects, they will continue to be available. When you design in
Technologic Systems SBCs, you can count on long-term availability. We have never discontinued a product. |

Printer Buffers - Buffers and Printer Sharing Devices
 |
The BF line of single user buffers was designed to accelerate data transfer
during printing or plotting operations. It allows fast resumption of normal functions,
because your computer no longer needs to spoon-feed data to the printer. Operation is fully
automatic and completely transparent to the user. A dedicated microprocessor ensures high speeds
and flexible options. The BF family can also convert between previously incompatible parallel or
serial devices.
The Smart Buffer family was designed to allow multiple computers access to a pool of shared printers.
In addition, an internal buffer of up to 16MB quickly off-loads print jobs from the computers,
allowing users to continue working with a minimum of interruption. A powerful microprocessor keeps all
ports on the SB active at all times, which means nobody ever waits for the printer. Switching between
outputs is done using a DOS or Windows based pop-up menu, and is independently controlled from each
computer.
One-time set-up and installation can be done in under 5 minutes - there are no DIP switches to
set and no arcane commands to remember.
Contact Technologic Systems to order Print Buffers or Smart Buffers.
Smart Buffer Features
- Conversion between parallel and serial formats is automatic
- Simultaneous input and output on all channels - Nobody Waits!
- Turbo option speed up to 100 KB/sec
- Automatic control of all SB functions is simple to integrate into custom applications
- Output Selection utilities for DOS and Windows are provided, but are not required for operation
- Dynamic allocation provides efficient use of buffer memory
- Broadcast Mode - sends print jobs out to multiple printers simultaneously. Perfect for Print on demand applications!
- All parallel ports use DB25-F connectors; serial ports use RJ-12 'phone jacks.'
- Serial ports support all data rates and formats, software (XON/XOFF) and hardware (RTS/CTS) flow control, and bi-directional communication between input and output.
