Touch Panel Computers

The Touch Panels designed by Technologic Systems are low-cost, industrial-grade WVGA touchscreen computers with audio codec and speaker. Utilizing a low-power CPU, the Touch Panels require no fans or heat-sinks. Reliability is enhanced through entirely solid-state operation with no moving parts. Temperature operation is fanless and range is industrial standard at lower CPU speeds. The LCD is rated for storage temperature range of -30 to +80 degrees Celsius. The operating range is -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. The LCD power supply and back-light are controlled via software.

In some Touch Panel models, the rugged aluminum support elegantly frames the TFT LCD, making an ideal solution for mounting on a wall or cabinet. In other models, a metal enclosure securely houses the panel and CPU board. The computer unit that drives the panel is mounted to the back of the TFT LCD and provides access to a wide variety of IO interfaces including Ethernet, USB host, DIO, serial ports and others.

The Touch Panel Computers run Linux 2.6 and Debian out of the box. They are powered with Technologic Systems Fastboot Linux solution and are suitable for a wide range of HMI-type and dedicated GUI applications. Available GUI software libraries include Xorg/Xlib, GTK, Direct Framebuffer, QtEmbedded, Java AWT and others. Sample GUI code and projects are installed by default and ready to compile/run.
