BRINGS OUT THE BEST

The TS-8554 baseboard provides the glue logic, connectors, and headers to the signals coming from the two 100-pin TS-SOCKET connectors. It's ready for a wide range of applications with industry standard connectors (Ethernet, DB-9 COM, USB, SATA, PC/104) and interface headers (CAN, RS-485, RS-232, Relay, SPI, ADC, ADC, GPIO). Additionally, the TS-8554 brings out a mikroBUS prototyping socket and XBee standard socket supporting NimbeLink / Digi cell modems for wireless connectivity and feature expansion.

RELIABLE DATA STORAGE WITH TS-SILO AND FRAM

The TS-SILO power reserve ensures that there will never be data loss or corruption when there is unexpected interruptions in power. TS-SILO provides another 20 seconds of operation to allow graceful system shutdown or last gasp operations. Additionally the TS-8554 integrates Ferroelectric RAM (FRAM or FeRAM) which combines non-volatile data storage with incredibly high read/write endurance for the ultimate in reliability for heavy data logging applications.

TS-5400 UPGRADE PATH

The TS-8554 has kept a nearly identical physical footprint as the TS-5400 so that upgrading in the field is as frictionless as possible. Plus, there are plenty of modern amenities such as the mikroBUS and XBee / NimbeLink / Digi sockets, FRAM, and TS-SILO power reserve, to make the TS-8554 a very appealing upgrade.
